- 1. Freedom from Hunger + Thirst
- 2. Freedom from Discomfort
- Benny the sheep is living in very poor conditions. His welfare is not good and he is suffering both mentally and physically.
- 3. Freedom from Pain, Injury, or Disease
- This picture is expressing the freedom from hunger and thirst. Benny the sheep now has some food and water.
- 4. Freedom to Express Normal Behavior
- This picture is expressing the freedom from discomfort. Benny the sheep has his own little house to sleep and rest in, instead of the cold hard ground.
- 5. Freedom from Fear and Distress
- This picture is expressing the freedom from pain, injury, or disease. Benny the sheep used to have a bad injury that caused an infection. He was seen by a vet, got treatment and is now healthy.
- This picture is expressing the freedom to express normal behavior. Instead of being cooped up in a basement, Benny the sheep now has plenty of room to roam around and even has a friend to interact with. He is living the life of a normal sheep.
- This picture is expressing freedom from fear and distress. Benny the sheep's welfare has improved so much. He now has food and water, shelter, plenty of room, and friends to keep him company. He is no longer suffering and is living his best life.
