The Stamp Act was a forced tax on all paper documents in the colonies. The reason it lead to the revolution was from this act causing struggle and problems within the relationships of the colonies.

Townshend Acts was a sequence of percautions that charged tax on all goods that came into the American colonies. It lead to the revolution due to American colonists seeing the Acts as an ill-use of power.
