- Hi, I'm Auggie Pullman. This is my dog, Daisy, and my big sister, Via.
- Auggie goes for a visit to his new (and first) real school: Beecher Prep. He meets Charlotte, Jack, and Julian.
- This is the science room. Any questions?
- Uh, no.
- August meets a nice girl named Summer during lunch on his first day of school.
- Hey, our names kind of match, right?
- Miranda's such a jerk!
- Trust me, she can be!
- Miranda's no jerk!
- Auggies's big sister Via is upset with her old best friend, Miranda. Auggie grew up with Miranda and loves her.
- I mean I'm only friends with him cause' Tushman asked me to...
- Auggie's good friend Jack back stabs him and August gets mad.
- How could Jack say that! I don't feel very good...
- I know, I'm so sorry.
- Jack, this is very serious.
- Jack realizes what he did wrong. When Julian makes fun of Auggie behind his back Jack punches him and gets in trouble.

- Are you Via's BOYFRIEND?
- With help from Summer, Auggie and Jack make up. They go to Auggie's house and meet Via's boyfriend, Justin.
- Auggie's dog, Daisy, dies.
- Via's old friend Miranda lets Via take her place in there production of Our Town.

- When Auggie gets beat up by some older kids his friends defend him.
- Cut it out!
