  • But one day a Portuguese explorer named Vasco Da Gama found a sea route to India and arrived in India at Calicut. Where he was given permission from King Zomorin to set up factories and trade with India. After that the Portuguese took over Goa, Daman and Diu.
  • After that many people heard of the sea route and started to trade with India the British fought with the French and won so the French took over Pondicherry. After that the British fought with the Dutch too and the British convinced the Dutch to trade with Indonesia.
  • After that the British went to Bangladesh and fought the Battle of Plassey and the British won and took over Bangladesh.
  • Shah Alam ||, Mir Qasim and Shuja-Ud-Daulah decided to fight against the British and this was called the Battle of Buxar but the British won again and took over places like Delhi.
  • Then the British made a law named the Doctrine of Lapse which said that if a king or queen died without a natural heir the British would rule over that place.
