- Gender equality is a human right that asks for access to rights or opportunities despite gender. For example, all male and female athletes can participate in races.
- However, the right is being violated in India. According to the Monster Salary Index (MSI), “Indian men earn 25% more than women in the same kind of work done by both men and women.”
- Organizations like the Association for Women's Rights in Development protect this human right. Gender equality is important to me because I'm a girl and I hope that every other girl like me can be treated equally.
