I have been interviewing people all day from a program that was hosted by a prison for prisoners who are no longer being incarcerated.
Have you found anyone who you're considering for the job?
Well that's the thing I don't know if I can trust them, since they've gone to prison for a reason.
Don't you think people should have a second chance to prove themselves, because people can change.
I've been reading an article about something called naturalism, which is basically saying that our genetics are the thing that makes us good or bad. This would then mean that people can not change, and us humans behave in a certain way because of our genetic decomposition.
This, has not been fully proven and is still just a theory. You shouldn't allow something like this to influence your decision.
They believe that us humans don't have free will, because our genetic decomposition are what makes the decisions for us,. That means the criminals would just go back to the old ways and will do more criminal acts.
It is important to recognize that these prisoners might not have had a choice to make some of the decisions that got them into prison in the first place.
It also says that DNA can be the thing that defines us, and can then determine that our promises or commitments do not come from motive or intentions, but instead from our genetics. This tells me that even if those criminals think that they changed, have they really changed?
What you're saying is that us human do not a chance to make up for our sins and that instead these should be the things that define us.
So I personally believe that the criminals that are from that program can't change and they will always be a criminal. That is not something I want my store to experience.
MY DECISION IS FINAL!!!
You're the manager but, I don't think that is fair to them. If a member of your family went to jail would you treat them like this, or try to help change them, so that they become a better person.
