- in this scene we can see the main character and his boss ,howard. Willy desire to work in Newyork as a salesman, in new york he would get a better salary and a better position in the company. But howard do not want to give this job to willy, he see willy as an old, tired salesman, reliying on his ability to talk rather than his ability to sell. he's trying to be sympathetic to be love by howard and to get this job, but he failed. howard relalize that willy is an inefective salesman but also that he is an embarassment to the company and a source od potentiel loss.

- willy had many car accident, but he hide the fact that all these accident were in reality suicide atempts. After losing his salary, he was so ashamed and so sad that he tried many times to kill himself.. His american dream is broken and he totally failed to achieve it. his notion of american dream isn't realistic, he was doomed to fail.

- WIlly's death shows the complicated relationship between people in this familly. linda repeats that she "doesn't understand" which means that she doesn't see her husband's ill-being. indeed, Willy commited suicide because the world was destroying him. Moreover, during the funeral bill and happy don't seeem really sad. Indeed, this familly is fragmented and their relationship is really complex and that's why there is a lack of emotion during the funeral
- Willy is playing with Charley while his dead brother appears in his mind. This apparition shows that, even before his death, death takes on a big scale in his life. Ben is the representation of all the desilusion but also the desilusion of Willy and when they talk. They discuss about their father. Indeed, Willy was first abandoned by his father and later by his brother so this shows he has complicated relationship with his family and that's maybe why living in this world is too difficult for him. finally, the death pf his brother can disrupt him and that's why he makes him live in his mind.
