First there's Newton's first law, the law of inertia. It states that an object that is at rest stays at rest unless acted upon by and unbalanced force

That means if I want to kick the ball harder or with more force, I have to kick it faster too!

So if my action is kicking the back of the ball with a force of 5N, then the equal and opposite reaction would be that the ball moves forward 5N.
