- In The Lottery, the residents of a rural town gather to participate in a tradition called the lottery, and some residents discuss the relevance of the lottery, revealing that some other towns have eliminated the tradition. Ultimately, a Mr. Hutchinson draws the marked lottery slip, and so his family members must each draw. After Tessie, his wife, draws the marked slip, she is stoned to death.

- The main character Miss Strangeworth is a very strange character she is shown as a nice character who wants the best for her town, but she is also shown as a character who is the reason behind the trouble in the town.

- A driven homicide between police detective Patrick Maloney and his wife Mary. He came upset saying that he wanted a divorce, whilst she is preganate with his child. Mary quickly regains her senses after fatally killing him a frozen leg of lamb.

- Legendary hunter Bob Rainsfor is shipwrecked on a mysterious island and he finds himself a guest of General Zaroff. While he is gracious at first, He realizes Zaroff is a sadistic murderer who plays a game of cat and mouse which they are the prey and he is the hunter.
