In the scene, Mary Warren was coming out with the truth that she didn't want to hide any more, but she felt scared and nervous to get it out there espesiecailly in front of the girls of Salem and the Judge. Proctor was trying to speak louder to make sure the judge knew what had happened

In the scene, Mary had went against Proctor under the pressure of Abigial and the girls of Salem causing her to accuse Proctor of being with the devil and making her lie. This made Procot give up and say that God is dead because no one is believing him
