One of the battles Asoka had fought in, called the Battle of Kalinga, had resulted in major loss in lives of both his troops and the opposing sides troops. This ushered him into transforming into an "Enlightened Ruler," as he had converted to Buddhism after the battle. He had applied Buddhist rules to the way of which he ruled.
You guys will be in charge of giving people care.
Asoka wanted everyone to participate in Buddhism, so he had to spread the word. He had sent many Buddhist monks around the Indian region to neighboring territory.
This would be perfect for the students! Everyone will have an education!
Asoka tells his empire's troops to hold off. This basically made them a defenseless, yet non violent empire.

Asoka had worked on putting up more hospitals and making them easier and more accessible to the people that needed the special care.
Asoka had also built more school buildings and made education more prevalent to more children.
Asoka had also carved in edicts into pillars throughout his empire to promote the Buddhist values.
