Well, I've been aiming to save up for a dream trip to Alaska this coming summer to see the glaciers. Because I'm working so hard, I was really hoping I might be eligible for a pay raise to help me reach that goal a lot faster.
I completely appreciate your initiative, Jillian, and you definitely deserve recognition for your effort. However, with out current shop budget, a raise isn't in the cards right now. But I can offer some practical advice on managing the income you're already making to help you get to Alaska.

Earning more money isn't the only way to reach a savings goal, Jillian. Instead of focusing only on your total income, we should take a closer look at where your money is actually going every month.
That's really discouraging to hear. If my income stays exactly the same, I don't see how i'll ever afford those expensive plane tickets.
