- Man, I LOVE living near this volcano! Its a really nice forest, and our community is basically at a climax community! Our ecosystem is at perfect homeostasis
- Yeah, this community is great! Our biodiversity is so high, and so is our sustainability! We have so many trees and different types of animals! It would sure be bad if the volcano exploded like right now.
- OMG!!! The volcano is exploding!!! I never ACTUALLY thought we'd get a natural disaster!!! Our forest is burning down!!!! Everybody is gonna die!!!!

- All good things must come to an end, but do not worry! Ecological succession will bring us back to how it used to be! Goodbye, cat.
- primary succession, after the volcano lava cools and there is only rock. this is not secondary succession because there is only rock and no soil, so the ecosystem must start from the beginning again.
- The two cats are gone, and now we are all that's left here. Right now, we're in the primary stage of succession. There are no biotic things here, just abiotic things, like rocks. And us rocks are kind of lonely here, I sure wish some pioneer species would come and make things more lively here!
- The lichens are here, and I'm SO excited! Soon, the rocks will be weathered down, and the lichens and small plants will be decomposed, and finally soil will be formed!!! I can't wait!!
- 1000 years later........
- It has been FOREVER, but now, there's a bunch of soil everywhere!! The lichens and small grass have decomposed, and over many years, the rocks have weathered down to create soil! Now grass can start to grow!!
- There is now lots of grass, and our ecosystem is starting to thrive! Animals are starting to move in because they now have things to eat, like grass! I am a producer in this ecosystem, and they are the consumers!
