The scene opens after Prudence enters Bruce’s apartment. Bruce is currently in the kitchen getting him and Prudence water, S.L.; Prudence sits on the couch S.R. waiting for Bruce to return; Bob X from the bedroom U.S.R. to the couch S.R. to have an awkward first conversation with Prudence. (Tableaux #1)

Bob X U.S.R. to his bedroom; Bruce X from the kitchen to couch S.R.; taken aback by Bob’s presence Prudence stands S.R., to the right of Bruce, and in front of the couch. (Tableaux #2)

Bruce X U.S.R into his bedroom to have a quick offstage conversation with Bob; Prudence sits S.R. on the couch flipping through “People,” magazine. She is in earshot of Bruce and Bob’s heated argument that ends in the breaking of a vase. (Tableaux #3)

Bob sits on the couch S.L. upset about Prudence pulling Bruce away from him; while Prudence pulls Bruce D.S.C. to have a side conversation about Bob. (Tableaux #6)
