Zebulon Pike's journey to west side of Kansas was not good. He said the land was a desert and he also said that the land was worthless.
Jackson made a powerful speech about the Indians needing to leave. Some of his speech is "what good man would prefer a country covered in a few thousand savages..."
The Indians were removed from their land they called home. We stole their skills and their resources.
