7.3 Application: Choosing Your Home

Hey! It's been quite a process, but I'm thrilled by the outcome. So, I started by researching different neighborhoods and areas that fit my preference and budget.
That sounds interesting! While you were busy with the home buying, I was on my own adventure of finding a rental home. Renting has it's perks too. I started browsing online listings and reaching out to rental agencies.
Renting can be a great option, especially if you're not ready to commit to buying a home just yet. But for me, owning a home was a long-term goal. Once I found the neighborhood I iked, I starting working with s real estate agent to help me navigate the process.
With renting, I got to tour different properties and meet landlords or property managers. I had to fill out rental applications and provide references to show that I'd be a responsible tenant.
Once I found the house I made an offer to the seller. Negotiations took place, and we eventually reached an agreement on the price. Then I had to secure financing by working with a mortgage lender and getting pre approved for a loan.
As a renter, I had to sign a lease agreement that outlined the terms and conditions of my tenancy, I also had to provide a security deposit and pay the first month's rent before moving in.
