- The Crusaders had set out to rescue the Holy Land from the Muslims,but they only succeeded for a period of about 100 years.
- Stop! Their evil!
- The Crusades cost a tremendous price in goods and especially in human lives. No one can estimate how many left everything behind them, joined the Crusades, and died for no good reason.
- WE didn't accomplish our goal!
- The Church hoped to strengthen its influence by sponsoring Crusades.
- Instead, the Crusades opened people's eyes to the many evils in the Church and caused them to turn away from it.
- So the Crusades didn't accomplish their original purpose.
