After becoming consul, and later emperor, Napoleon continued his dream of becoming the next Alexander the Great. His French army fought against and defeated several European countries, including Austria, Prussia, and Sweden, just to name a few. Countries that Napoleon didn't conquer, like Russia, signed peace treaties with the power-hungry French ruler. However, Napoleon still hadn't conquered England, which he really wanted to defeat.

This not only contributed to the growth of America but also helped fund Napoleon's wars and conquests. A year after this, Napoleon named himself emperor of France.

After his divorce, Napoleon married the daughter of Francis II, the ruler of the Holy Roman Empire. His new wife's name was Marie-Louise. Together, Napoleon and Marie-Louise had one boy, who they named Napoleon II.
