- Juanito: For example, his revolutionary proposals included breaking the power of landowners and political bosses, believing in social justice, giving more land to peasants, and more importantly, giving us the idea that politics does not only belong to Colombia"s elites. According to him, politics is also an exercise of the people. We have a voice and vote!
- Nevertheless, after this terrible event that has marked us, Colombia has looked for paths to peace.

- No. Still, consequences persist. Because that day began "La Violencia", a period that influenced the armed conflict that we still try to overcome in the whole country.
- Today, we remember April 9 as the Day of Memory and Solidarity with the Victims of El Bogotazo and the violence that has always persisted in our country. But also, since that day, we have felt the impulse to keep fighting for peace, sovereignty, and the struggle of our Colombian people for a just and good Colombia for us.
- Thank you Sir, for letting me learn more and understand this great historical event of our beloved Colombia. With this conversation, I want to encourage our youth to start the exercise of historical memory. I believe we must know our history well so that we do not repeat the same mistakes.
