Hi! I'm Amanda Stranak, but everyone calls me Amey. I am the Director of Financial Aid at Queen's University
I returned to study for this program after a hiatus of over a decade from formal education, although I have worked in the university sector throughout that time.

In my first course of this Master of Education program, I learned that analyzing narrative storytelling through theoretical thematic analysis can provide insights and research outcomes, even when applied to my own story. I have also recently learned that taking a leap of faith is important, even if you cannot predict the outcome.

Over the next six months, I will be studying research in educational contexts, Student Affairs in higher education, and mental health in K-12 and higher education settings, among other topics. My goal is to deepen my understanding of Student Affairs, including its history and development, as well as to enhance my knowledge of mental health influences and strategies for students across all educational levels.
