- make sure to study lots, and hit imporatant topics like road signs and street sense
- First, research and test your knowledge on driving saftey and rules.
- Have someone trustworthy and an owner of a unrestricted licence help you study and let them quiz you. I would also use the online test that in simillar to the real one because you can take that one as many times as you weant and can help you learn faster
- Come prepared with: accepted ID (passport, birth certificate, ect.), signed consent for, and test fees.
- Once you are confident in your studies book an appointment at local ICBC drivers licencing office anytime after you are 16.
- Living in a bigger city like kelowna would encourage me to book an appointment months ahead of time because there can often be a long wait list.
- Your L sign must be always on the vechile you're driving, if it is lost then you must download and print the offical paper copy to put on display until you goto your local drivers licence office for a free new one.
- Your learners licence will be vaild for 2 years after that you have to choices, either renew your learners or take the new drivers test (once you have renewed youer learners you can take the new drivers test whenever your ready.
- To drive as a learner you will need a qualified supervisor (someone 25 or over with a valid class 1,2,3,4 or 5 licence) in the passenger seat.
- Rules you must follow as a learner include: no alcohol or drugs in your blood while driving, no driving between the time of 12am-5am, in addition to your qualified supervisor you aere allowed 1 other passenger and no use of hand held devices while driving unless for an emergency 911 call.
- You can practice by becoming more comfortable driving around at anytime a day, in different weathers, and in different towns or parts of your city
- Preparing for your N is a little different then preparing for your L, the test itself will be in a car driving around.
- Your main goal is to have control over the vechile and be calm and smooth, that is what they are mostly looking for (if you worry to much about the test you will loose focus and not preform yhour best)
- After passing your test you'll still have restrictions that come with your N, similar to the L restrictions: no drigs or alcohol or drugs in your blood while driving, your N must be on display, no electric device and only one passenger (exempt to immediate family) unless they have an unrestricted licence and older than 25.
