- A tall older man cracked open the door slightly and took a peak at Elliot. The man said to Elliot “We don’t want any trouble here please leave”. Elliot explained his story pleading for something to eat or drink and the man finally gave in. He opened the door and let him in. The man gave Elliot food, water, and a place to sleep, it almost seemed too good to be true.
- Elliot was about to fall asleep when he heard three loud thumps on the door. The old man opened the door and whispered a few things. Then he heard the men stomping through the house toward his bedroom. They broke open the door to Elliot's bedroom and arrested him.
- Elliot tried to fight his way out of the men's firm grip but it was no use. He should not have trusted anyone.The men that took Elliot were wearing black uniforms with a red dragon and the words sight police embroidered on the right shoulder.
- The men took Elliot to a warehouse where many other people were being kept captive for breaking the same rule. The younger ones that broke the rule were exposed to a gas that wiped their memories and the older ones were killed at the warehouse and hidden. The younger ones were then trained to be the sight police.
- Elliot was placed in the chamber with the younger ones and his memory was wiped. He became part of the sight police like many others before him.
- As a part of the sight police Elliot was responsible for killing and turning in many people. This behavior was unlike anything anyone would have expected him to do, but he did it because the gas changed how he thought and took away his ability to have feelings.
