Cabeza de Vaca was returning from his exploration until he got stranded in Galveston in 1528.He then came back to Mexico in 1536 and told stories of the city of the gold
In 1540 Coronado heard the stories and wanted to look for himself.he traveled to Fabled city of Gold and ended up finding other explorers.The Spanish called him a failure for not finding any gold.
In 1685 La Salle a new explorer arrived at Matagorda bay.He tried to be friends with the Indians but they attacked them while La Salle got the supplies.
