The Other Wes Moore

Chapter 5, "Lost" is important to Wes Moore's life because he was being taught that he needed to stop running away from things. When Sergeant Austin came into his room and handed a map, he was happy that somebody understood him. He was ready to get home and see his family. Wes followed the directions on the map and ended up in the woods. He realized he had been pranked. When he got back to the Military School, Wes was allowed a phone call. He called his mother and asked if she could take him out of the academy. She told him to stop running away from everything. Wes ended up trying it and he grew to actually like military school.
