- What?! This can't be happening. Next week? I could not believe my ears. I was going to have to leave my town, my friends, and my school behind and live somewhere I had never been before in my life.
- Moving day came sooner than I had hoped. Time to say goodbye to all of my friends. I was going to miss them.
- Goodbye, little town. I will miss you very much.
- The journey to Texas took a very long time. I couldn't help but be scared. Would I like my new school? Would I make any new friends? Would my teacher be as nice as Mrs. Henderson from my old school? My mind was racing the whole way there.
- Finally, we arrived in Texas. It was nothing like home.
- I started school the next day. I felt sick to my stomach as I got off the bus and looked at my brand new school. I didn't know anyone. I was all alone.
