Overzicht van Activiteiten


Een eetstoornis is geen keuze. Een eetstoornis is een copingmechanisme dat wordt gebruikt wanneer iemand de controle over verschillende aspecten van zijn leven verliest. Wanneer mensen geen controle hebben over aspecten in hun leven, zullen ze naar alles reiken om dat gevoel van controle weer te herwinnen. Ze hebben geen controle over schoolopdrachten, ouderlijke verwachtingen of hun schema. Eén ding dat ze kunnen beheersen, is hun gewicht. Dit gevoel om controle over iets te krijgen, kan hun manier zijn om met de andere stressoren om te gaan. Het aanleren van gezonde copingvaardigheden zal de druk om te beheersen helpen verlichten.

In deze activiteit maken studenten een storyboard dat een ongezonde en gezonde coping-strategie illustreert om oncontroleerbare stressoren te bestrijden. Vraag de studenten om te brainstormen over dingen die hen stress bezorgen. Vraag hen vervolgens na te denken over verschillende manieren waarop ze op een gezondere manier stress kunnen verlichten. Luisteren naar muziek, socialiseren, prioriteit geven aan hun tijd, ontspannen of lichamelijke activiteit zijn antwoorden die je misschien hoort. Studenten laten zien hoe een eetstoornis slechts tijdelijk stress kan verlichten terwijl ze verschillende andere problemen veroorzaakt, is het hoofddoel van deze activiteit. Het is belangrijk om studenten te waarschuwen tegen het maken van storende scènes die een trigger voor zichzelf of anderen kunnen zijn.

Instructies voor studenten

Toon aan dat u begrijpt hoe mensen met een eetstoornis zich negatief aanpassen aan stress.


  1. Klik op "Start opdracht".
  2. Verzin drie dagelijkse stressoren. Ze moeten buiten de controle van de hoofdpersoon vallen.
  3. Maak een visual van die stressoren in de eerste cel van elke rij, inclusief een titel van het thema (rij) en label (kolom).
  4. Maak een visual van iemand die een eetstoornis gebruikt als een manier om met die stress om te gaan in de tweede cel van elke rij terwijl je het 'Ongezond' noemt. Zorg ervoor dat je de juiste inhoud op school gebruikt.
  5. Creëer vervolgens een gezonde coping-strategie in de derde kolom met 'Healthy Coping' als label.
  6. Voeg ten slotte een korte beschrijving toe onder elke cel waarin wordt uitgelegd wat er gebeurt voor de stressor, waarom de ongezonde coping gevaarlijk is en geef een toelichting op de gezonde coping.
  7. Sla de opdracht op en verzend deze.
