Als studenten lezen, kan een storyboard dienen als een nuttig karakterreferentie log. Dit logboek (ook wel een personage kaart) geeft studenten de mogelijkheid om relevante informatie over belangrijke personages te roepen. Bij het lezen van een roman, kleine attributen en details vaak worden belangrijk als de plot vordert. Met karakter in kaart brengen , zullen de studenten deze informatie op te nemen, hen te helpen volgen langs en vangen de subtiliteiten die te maken het lezen leuker!
In het karakter kaart storyboard, verbeelden de personages als symbolen en ideeën, zoals menselijke personages, of een combinatie van de twee. In het onderstaande voorbeeld, Chaos is de enige 'karakter' symbolisch vertegenwoordigd.

Maak een personagekaart voor de hoofdpersonen.

Encourage students to use symbols, colors, and creative backgrounds that represent each character’s traits or story role. Visual choices help make the map memorable and meaningful for all learners.
Have each group present their section of the character map to the class and discuss what they learned. Presenting builds confidence and allows the whole class to see connections between characters.
