- Read and study the learn to drive textbook, take online practice and road signs tests, and try the street sense hazard perception training. When you are ready book your appointment online to take your knowledge test. Bring proper ID, a parent and the money for fees and licence with you.

- Get at least 40 out of 50 multiple choice questions right and you pass! For the next 12 months you will be a learner, after which time you can do your road test and graduate to the next level. For this learner year you will need a qualified supervisor, aged 25 or higher, with you in the car. You will follow all the rules on your drivers licence. You will attach your L to the back of the car before driving. Remember to record your practice hours! No alcohol, drugs, cell phone usage, and 1 passenger limit. There is no driving between midnight and 5 am.
- To get your N you will need to have completed at least 1 year of driving with a supervisor and to have passed the Class 7 road test. After the 12 month learner's year and staying prohibition free you can take your road test. Study for the road test by reading Tuning up for Drivers, Learn to Drive Smart, and Road Signs Practice Test. Once you have passed your Class 7 you will be issued your N.
- The Class 7 Road Test takes 45 minutes to complete. You will need to demonstrate different driving skills, follow the examiners instructions, and obey all the rules of the road. If you do not pass the first time you can try again in 14 days. Once issued your N you must place it on the back of your car before you drive. As a Novice driver you are now allowed to drive alone. You must follow all Novice driving restrictions. No alcohol, drugs, cell phone usage, and only 1 non-family passenger allowed.
- Getting your full licence requires you to....
- Have 2 years of safe driving and to pass your Class 5 road test. After you have been a Novice driver for 24 consecutive months without any driving prohibition you may take your test.
- The driving skills that you will need to know in order to pass your Class 5 road test are....
- Make sure that the car you are going to use for the test is in good working order. The examiner will check.
- Driving through intersections, turning left and right, pulling out into traffic, pulling over and stopping at the side of the road, changing lanes, parking on a hill, starting on a hill, backing up, angle parking, parallel parking, stall parking, two and three point turns, merging on and off a highway, and Knowing what to do around emergency vehicles.
