Odysseus and his crew sail back to Circe's island where she explains to them what to expect on the remainder of their journey. She tells them about the monster Scylla, as well as a monster called Charybdis that creates a whirlpool in the water. She gives them advice and instruction on how to avoid the dangers that await them.

No, Odysseus! Remember what Circe said? Don't listen to the voices!
Do you hear that?! I have to go after that beautiful voice!
Odysseus and his crew begin the trip home. One of the dangers Circe warned them of was the island of the Sirens, who use their beautiful voices to lure sailors to their ruin. Per Circe's instruction, the crew put wax in their ears so they aren't tempted. Odysseus however isn't using wax, and he hears the voices and wants to follow them. His faithful crew is only just able to stop him.

Other way, guys! OTHER WAY!
. . . and the dreaded whirlpool created by the monster Charybdis. While trying to escape the whirlpool, Scylla snatches several of the crew.
