So for the liquid methane to evaporate it needs a lot of energy. This can take a long time, the speed it took to evaporate was almost 7 years. Also by adding energy the molecules gain kenitic energy and freedom of movement.
This means that the liquid methane has almost no energy to the point its almost solid because of their molecular attraction. The molecules in the lake have almost no kinetic energy as well.
Our question is why Titans lake shown on the picture dint change phase into a gas before 2007. We know that Titans lake is liquid methane, and for methane to become liquid it must be really cold by removing enrgy.
