To get your permit you must first study for the test. You can download the Connecticut DMV mobile app for practice knowledge test questions or download the drivers manual. don't forget to Gather all documents needed before the test. If you wear glasses make sure to bring them (you must pass the vision test) You must pass the 25 questions knowledge test Make an appointment. there is a $40 testing fee and $19 dollars for permit if you pass
ok what about getting a license?
For getting your license you must meet the training requirements. there are three different ways to meet them. you can do Commercial driving school for 30 hours of classroom training which includes the safe driving practices course and two hours of parent training and 40 hours of practiced driving, High school (secondary) driver education for 30 hours of classroom training, which includes the safe driving practices course and two hours of parent training and 40 hours of practiced driving, or Home training (must be given by a Qualified Trainer)- 22 hours of classroom type training, and an eight-hour safe driving practices course at a commercial/secondary school which includes two-hour parent/legal guardian training and 40 hours of practiced driving. make must obtain the permit for 120 before you can take the road test.
