- The weather is beautiful for what just happened earlier.
- Darcy walks into her mom sobbing on the family couch. Her face grows anxiously and her eyes widened. Taking everything in, Darcy stands there for a moment. Right in front of the door. "Darcy come here" her mom mumbled.
- Darcy come here..
- Oh Darcy!
- "What's wrong? Mom, why are you crying?" says Darcy in a tone that is very worrisome. Darcy genuinely believes something happened to Grandma or Aunt Charlotte for all she cares.
- What's wrong? Mom, why are you crying?
- See them?
- Darcy comes home after the awful day with Tarah. and Cooper at the tidal pool Although her bad mood, the weather is beautiful and sunny. "The weather is beautiful for what just happened earlier." she thinks. Darcy reaches her hand and opens the door.
- "There's no way..." Darcy says. The letters were from Dad. The same one who abandoned them years ago. It was shocking to come upon letters from someone you hatted. Colorful, sweet worded letters too.
- Darcy begin rapidly walking to her Mom. It didn't seem like Jamee was home because if she was, she'd be beside mom by now. She walks past the papers on the table with no notice of them. But instead, focused her worries to her mother. "Oh Darcy" her mom yelps. There were teardrops falling from her hands to her mom's skirt. Tissues laid all around her, as if this had been happening for a while.
- Her mom was silent but in clearly in pain. Darcy couldn't predict the future of what this meant. Darcy leans into her Mom to hug her. The feelings they both felt were hard to describe into words. "Mom I hope you know I love you." Darcy thinks.

- She cannot even begin to imagine what would have happened to them. Darcy begs her mom to explain what is going on. Instead of saying words, any word, mom points with her right hand, shaking, to the papers on the table. Darcy's eyes broadened even further than before. "See them?" her mom asks nervously.
- After blinking a few times waiting for a quiet moment, Mom tells Darcy "Let's not tell Jamee about this tonight. This is a lot put on her, seeing how much it effects us already."

- It seemed close to impossible but yet there they laid, letters from Dad. There were 3, all directed to Jamee, Mom, or herself. This seemed like a dream, or more of a nightmare for Darcy. "When did these come in?" Darcy asks frantically. Hiding away her tears that wanted to form, Darcy faces her mom.
- When did these come in?
- Seeing her mom like this, really broke her heart. No matter how many times she's seen her like this, it'll always bring sadness. They stood there. Hugging till Mom's shaking began to calm. Mom wiped her tears and looked Darcy in the eye. "Darcy" her mom said sternly.
- Darcy.
- Darcy agrees with an "Okay" and Mom places the letters in a closed box under the table. They move on with their afternoon like usual. Darcy goes to her room, lays in bed, and wonders all the possibilities of the letters being sent here. "Why? Why dot this? Why now?" Darcy thinks. Then she began to go over what happened today and her argument with Tarah and Cooper. What will she do Monday?
