Yes, I'm going to the field at the back and fly this kite. But, I don't know what thread to use.
What threads do you have there?
I have here two nylon threads. One has 89 2/3 meters while the other one has 90 3/4 meters of nylon thread. I want to use the longer one but I don't know which one is longer.
Ow, that's easy. First, we convert 89 2/3 meters into improper fraction which is 269/3 meters. And 90 3/4 meters becomes 363/4 meters.
Wow! That is really hard. But still we don't know which one is longer.
We still compare these fractions by multiplying 269 by 4 which is equal to 1,076 meters. and 363 x 3 = 1,089 meters.
That means 90 3/4 m or 363/4 meters is greater than 89 2/3 m or 269/3 meters. Wow! You are really smart. That was a lot of numbers to solve. Now I know which one to use. Thank you so much Nate.
You're welcome Kenny. You will also learn that when you reach the topic of fractions in school.
I think it is going to be hard but anyways, what are we waiting for, let's go to the field and fly this kite.
