- In the treaty of Paris, Great Britain won lots of land but they didn't want the colonists to move in and disturb the Native Americans there.
- The British made the Proclamation of 1763 that made it so the colonists could not go past the Appalachian mountains.
- Great Britain needed to leave the Native Americans their land because if they had a another war with them it would cost a lot. That would have been bad because Great Britain is already in dept.
