  • Digestive Enzymes are proteins that your body makes to break down food and aid digestion.Amylase (made in the mouth and pancreas; breaks down complex carbohydrates )Lipase(made in the pancreas; breaks down fats Protease(made in the pancreas; breaks down proteins )
  • Digestiven System
  • Diet Enzymes
  • Metabolism is the set of life-sustaining chemical processes that enables organisms to transform chemical energy stored in molecules into energy that can be used for cellular processes .The energy extracted contains oxygen that is carried to different body parts so that they can be able to perform different activities.
  • Energy Extraction
  • Peristalsis is a series of wave-like muscle contractions that move food through the digestive tract. It starts in the esophagus where wave-like solid motions of the smooth muscle move balls of swallowed food to the stomach. There, the food is churned into a liquid mixture called chyme that moves into a small intestine where peristalsis continues.Stretching out a piece of the intestine will make it easier to see the wave-like motion, the motion mixes and shifts the chyme back and forth. This lets the bloodstream absorb nutrients through the walls of the small intestine, and gives healthier bacteria.
  • Peristalisis.
  • After food is swallowed the chewed food (now called a bolus) moves down the esophagus, the esophagus acts as a connection between the mouth and the stomach but no digestion occurs here. The bolus then reaches the stomach where more mechanical and chemical digestion takes place, the muscles in the stomach walls churn the bolus (mechanical) allowing it to mix with digestive enzymes and gastric acids (chemical). This process converts the bolus into a liquid called chyme. Chyme is slowly transported into the small intestine where most chemical digestion takes place, Bile is made in the liver and is released from the gallbladder to help digest fats. In addition, enzymes from the pancreas and intestinal walls combine with the chyme to start the final part of digestion. Most nutrient absorption occurs in the small intestines, the chyme exits the small intestine only water and indigestible substances are left behind. The chyme then enters the large intestine. Here, water is removed and bacteria break down some undigestible materials, producing important compounds (such as vitamin K). The concentrated waste material that remains is called feces, which are passed into the rectum and eliminated from the body through the anus.
  • The diets rich in enzymes that when introduced to a prisoner's digestive system; facilitate peristalsis, which enhances energy extraction into the body and leads to improved body performance. This will help the prisoners. This will help prisoners because now the body; is being fed equally and well balanced , this is going to help the prisoners acquire energy and be able to perform different activities and the muscles are going to get stong to the fact where they are far from diseases.
  • Improved System
