There are two types: light dependent and independent. The dependent reaction takes place in the thylakoid in the chloroplast whilst the other takes place in the stroma. It can be limited by light intensity, temperature or CO2 levels. The plants use carbon dioxide, water and energy to produce glucose and oxygen

humans breathe in this oxygen and use it during cellular respiration. This is the process animal cells undergo to turn sugar and oxygen into energy (ATP). It has 3 stages: glycolysis, Krebs cycle and the electron transport chain
In glycolysis,a sugar molecule is split, creating 2 ATP. In the Krebs Cycle, oxygen is taken in, CO2 is produced and another 2 ATP are produced. In the electron transport chain, oxygen and hydrogen left over from the sugar, combine to form water, activating the ATP synthase and making 32 ATP.
