Storyboard Tekst

  • July 25, 1920 in London, England: Rosalind Franklin is born.
  • Rosalind was an amazing student. She was smart, athletic, and determined. She was even accepted into the University of Cambridge, where she studied coal.
  • While Rosalind was informed she was taking over John Randall's study on DNA, the previous leaders of the project (Maurice Wilkins and Raymond Gosling) weren't. This started a rivalry between Wilkins and Rosalind that lasted throughout the rest of their lives.
  • Rosalind started working for Jacques Mering, an x-ray crystallographer (someone who uses x-rays to see molecules.)
  • Rosalind is offered a research scholarship for Kings College and happily accepts. All over the world, scientists were trying to be the first to discover and document how DNA is structured, and John Randall chose her to take over his study on this in his lab.
  • Rosalind and Wilkin's fighting got so bad that John Randall decided to split them up, each to take on one of the forms of DNA that Raymond Gosling and Rosalind had discovered: Rosalind taking type A and Wilkins taking type B. They later discovered that both forms A and B had a double helix structure.
