I want to help other slaves to achieve freedom!
Harriet Tubman was a former slave from the South who went back to save others using the Underground Railroad in the 1840s.
When she and the other slaves reach the north, Harriet rests for a few days before going back.
I better disguise myself before the see me!
On her way to the forest she encountered slave-catchers.
I am a old woman who came a few days ago.
Who are you?
Now it's time for a fresh start! Stay hidden and stay out of sight of the slave catchers.
Throughout her life, Harriet Tubman has been recognized for freeing over 300 slaves from the South!
Many years later, Harriet served as a spy for the north during the american civil war.
She lived her last years happily and died in 1913 at the age of 93 due to pneumonia. I think she lived a very interesting life, don't you?
