- Dad will you tell me bed time story?
- Yes, I'll tell you a story about the cold war.
- What was it?
- The US was trying to stop the Soviet Union from spreading communism. The two countries never directly fought though.
- Who was involved?
- It was 2 big groups of alliances going against each other. NATO is one group and its most powerful country was the US. The other was Warsaw its most powerful leader was the Soviet Union
- Wow! What was its impact daddy?
- It stopped communism from becoming in power of all the world. But some counties still became communist.
- Does this relate to my world studies course in school?
- Yes son. You see son, all the past wars and information you learned about all lead up to this which is still a problem today.
- zzzzzzzzzzzzz...
- I knew that would put him to sleep. I don't think there is a 3 year old that wouldn't love that story!
