  • Goodmorning Class! Today's lesson is all about Charles Law!
  • Charles' Law is a gas law where at constant temperature, the volume of an ideal gas is directly proportional to its absolute temperature.
  • Charles' Law is expressed by the equation: V1T2=V2T1
  • One example is the human lungs. When we inhale, air comes in and the lungs expands and when as we exhale, air flows out and it contracts.
  • Another example of Charles' Law is a Helium Balloon. When the temperature of the surrounding is low, the balloon crumbles. However, when we take the balloon in room temperature, it regains it shape.
  •
  • Last example is a Deodorant Spray. How? If you had a chance to read the instructions of deodorant spray, there's a warning sign that the spray should be kept away under sunlight or high temperatures. If the spray is left at high temperatures, the air molecules inside the bottle will expand which can lead to the bursting of the deodorant bottle.
