- Every morning at 8:00 am Louis was woken up by his servant who slept in the room with him

- After Louis was awoken he had his wet nurse wipe him down and kiss him.
- The Great Chamberlain would come into his rooms open the curtains then offer the king holy water
- Here's your holy water sir.
- Louis XIV would get shaved every other day, with the court watching. He would wear a wig because he wouldn't allow himself to be seen.
- When he finishes dressing he kneels down at the side of his bed and says his prayers.
- After saying his prayers, he would go into his studies.
