Silver balze

Silver blaze horse is stolen and sherlock is called to the scene where John Straker, who had recently gone missing's body was found next to the scarf of Fitzroy Simpson.
Inspector Gregory believes that this evidence points towards Simpson being the killer and Straker being killed by the horse as he is a privileged man in debt and is very likely to visit the races but Sherlock is doubtful.
Sherlock interviews Strakers wife as he found a receipt for an expensive dress in his pocket on the day he died, but she says that he never bought her an expensive dress.
Sherlock deduces that a horse would look for company and it's likely Silver Blaze headed to Mapleton, they follow his tracks which match the horseshoe and make it to Mapleton stable.
Sherlock realises that Colonel Ross is acting Cavalier towards him so he played a prank on him. he told Ross that him and Watson were leaving but returning on the day of the race, but then he found out by Hunter that three of the sheep became lame. Sherlock realises the lack of barking of the dog on the day of the murder.
Holmes then brought Silver Blaze to Ross secretly and then they revealed the star mark on Silver Blaze's forehead that it was know for. The horse then won the race.
