  • Hold on, is John still alive? John?!
  • How long have I been out? Where exactly am I?
  • Wait, that's right! ... I was shot down during combat.
  • Wha... Wha... Where am I? Who am I? I can't see. What is this feeling? It feels like plastic. What is plastic?
  • He started to scream for John, his crewmate, who was in the back cockpit, to no avail.
  • He looked around to see that he had an oxygen tank and water, which would last him a day. He had food, too.
  • He was in an F-14 over the Pacific ocean over-watching defense borders.
  • I know this isn't a realistic situation that would be found in the military or air force, but just bear with me.
  • Command knows where we crashed. We wi
  • John?! John??!! Answer me!!
  • OW! My... head... hurts!
  • It's too dark to see anything though. I can see the ocean through the glass, but even that is hard to see.
  • Suddenly, he heard loud taps coming from behind him. It was John talking to him in Morse code.
  • Welp. He was a good guy. He has a wife and two kids.
  • I. A. M. F. I. N. E. H. O. W. A. B. O. U. T. Y. O. U.
  • He quickly started to respond.
  • He turned around to sit properly and sighed.
  • H. E. Y. H. A. R. R. Y. H. O. W. A. R. E. Y. O. U.
  • I. A. M. F. I. N. E. H. O. W. L. O. N. G. D. O. Y. O. U. H. A. V. E. A. T. B. E. S. T.
  • His kids are definitely to young to understand. I hope they will live a long and happy life.
  • I have a day of O2.
  • You always did receive the best.
  • I give it 6 hours at worst. They know where we crashed, so we will be alright.
  • They both sat in the silence and stillness of the ocean surrounding their partially destroyed jet. They were close enough to the surface that they could see their nearby surroundings.
  • Harry sat in a pause for a moment as John got up to look at his 02 levels.
  • Good.
  • I have a day and a half.
  • Shut up. How long till rescue teams arrive?
  • Hey, what is that object at bearing 272.
  • I meant on radar.
  • John looked out the window to see the light from the sun dancing in the water and seaweed wave slowly in the ocean. Harry looked up to see something in the distance through the water.
  • Despite what John said, they both began to see a helicopter fly about 100 meters overhead.
  • . . .
  • They couldn't believe the beauty of their surroundings. It was almost indescribable. Then, Harry noticed something.
  • Looks like water.
  • I don't see anything on radar.
  • I get it, alright; we are in enemy territory.
  • Are you sure that the radar didn't pick anything up?
  • Is this place a combat area? The helicopter was German, but this place should be under allied control.
  • Let's just our best to survive until then.
  • It should be. But that would make me question why rescue personnel are taking so long.
  • Yes; it will also be a while before rescue teams can make it to us.
  • I swear. The radar is probably down.
  • Eight hours past before John got the radio back on. Harry had been asleep for about 5 of those hours with nothing else to do.
  • Although, we have no choice but to monitor frequencies, sit here, and change the oil.
  • Just keep trying to fix the radio.
  • There is nothing else to do.
  • They sat there as John fiddled with the radio mechanics and Harry looked around to see little but sea. The closest to an aircraft he got was a seagull.
  • Alright, well I will keep an eye out for aircraft or naval vessels.
  • Very funny.
  • Hey Harry! ...
