- During this Scene Amy witnesses the landing of the Aliens within central park in New York and as she is seeing it, we hear her realize how her parents are probably dead while also the world around her being destroyed as they take out the world in just about a week. But this helps lead to her knowing she will have to go out and scavenge local stores and houses and eventually finding the person she cares for the most, Baby.
- Later into the book Amy and Baby have to leave their home as it is becoming unsafe and not able to live there anymore, however, as they are gone they are taken by a mysterious ship and individual that doesn't make any sound when they were being found, but once some time passes in the ship its found out that this figure is also a human.
- When Amy is taken into the new human society called New Hope, she would have not been able to fit in and truly like the jobs that was available, but once she finds out about a job called "The guardians" she would go and take part. As she was there she got secret training and improved her skills greatly, though learned a few hidden secretes in the society.
- One of the nights somehow the Flores (aka the Alien monsters) got into the New Hope and started to destroy the society and kill a lot of the people within. Though for Amy she would use her training to fight back and save a few people as well with a lot of kids, however some big lives was lost and secrets was being held on how the protection they had set up failed and couldn't keep the Flores out.
- To pass and become a guardian Amy had to do one last set of trials and tests, and normally she was meant to fight a Flores in a closed corner area, however she was set up and needed to fight one in the open with a faulty gun. Despite this she would fight it with a knife and eventually killed the one that was attacking her, however found something about the creatures that was one of the biggest hidden secrets so far, and it was all by finding a small necklace
- At the end Amy has to escape New Hope and with the help of a multiple people she as to get out, but without baby. Cause of her escape, she will be unable to go back to New Hope until further notice and has to fend for herself while also finding more truth or ways to fix the extinction that took place in the earth.
