- The teacher is accessing the learners on the activity they will be doing.
- Morning learners. How are we feeling today? Today we will be doing a fun activity which involves our families .The name of the game is called My Family
- The teacher gives the learners instructions for the game.
- Are we feeling excited? Well i am .Let us take a seat so that i can explain the game before we start playing.
- The teacher is demonstrating the activity to the learners but is allowing them to lead the game themselves in as way that's fun for them.
- ohhh! i have three brothers
- In this game, each and every person will need to write down their answers in flashcard .This game is about knowing each others family celebrations and how many siblings we have or who we stay at home with. For example i stay alone at home but i have two siblings.
- I don't mind starting the game. How many brothers do you guys have ? i have three brothers at home
- The learners are applying the instructions they were given by the teacher but Kagiso is sad about this question and not certain how to respond to it because his afraid of judgement. The teacher is carefully observing and can see Kagiso's mood is changing.
- I don't have brothers at home. I only have sisters and at home they call me miracle baby.
- This game sounds fun. Who wants to start asking questions or should i?
- That's a lot. I only have one brother, ehat about you Kagiso?
- The teacher can see that the learners are fascinated by each others responses which means they all thought they have the same family values but today they got to understand that they are all unique
- wooo! that's cool. I only have one sister and we always go on trips to celebrate each others birthdays in my family.
- I have two sisters. My mom calls them twins and every year we celebrate their birthday on the same day.
- uhh. I don't have any brothers at home but i have five sisters. How many sisters do you guys have?
- That game was fun. I didn't know that you have have sisters that share the same birthday
- The teacher tells the learners how different they all are but that doesn't mean just because people celebrate different things from you or are brought up different than you, you are less human or special.
- That didn't go as bad as i thought it would. I actually liked the game.
- Well, in this game you all saw that you have different answers to every question which means that not everyone is suppose to be the same as the other person but we still need to love and respect each other despite our differences.
