- Juan Tamad is a story about a young man who is extremely lazy. He's always thinking of ways on how to do things without putting much work and effort.

- One day he saw a fruity tree but he is too lazy and unmindful to climb the tree to pluck the fruit. He instead decided to lie beneath the tree and waited for the fruit to fall.

- If I'm just not indolent, I could have that fruit!
- He waited for it until he fell asleep.
- He woke up when he felt that something fell on his face. He opened his eyes and saw the bird eating the fruit he's waiting to fall.
- Lesson learned: We couldn't get things that we desire if we didn't put effort to have it at all.
