- His mother died when he was born. His life was also changed when his father leaving in the summer and coming back in the winter. He was also affected by his father dieing
- At the beginning of the story he was in a tree house.
- At the end he was in a handcar on train tracks.
- He was changed and felt like he could find an answer to his question. He also became use to the bad things that had happened to him.
