  • Good morning students! Today we're going to learn about Cell Cycle. Are you guys excited?
  • Hurmmm. But Miss Edna, I have a hard time understanding this topic. I revised so many times yet I still can't understand it.

  • Don't worry kids. I've got this covered.
  • Here we are in the heart of Auckland, New Zealand. Normally, traveling to Auckland by flight takes about 10 hours.
  • Woww we just teleported from our classroom
  • Our journey here in Shanghai, China took us about 9 hours. That's the equivalent to the S phase. The cell duplicates its DNA, resulting in two identical copies of each chromosome (sister chromatids)
  • Whoahh where are we?
  • This duration can be compared to the duration of G1 in the cell cycle. During G1, the cell grows in size and increases its cytoplasmic volume

  • Here we are in the heart of Mumbai, India. Our journey here represents G2 phase that took 4 hours to complete. During G2 phase, the cell continues to grow and accumulate resources needed for mitosis.
  • And lastly, I'm bringing you kids to Pakistan. The last phase of cell cycle is M phase. It took 1 hour to complete. M phase is where the nucleus and its genetic material divide
