Oh! well the Mayan calendar was based on a ritual cycle of 260 maned day and a year of 365. The consecutive years were then considered to form a longer cycle of 118,80 days and maybe 52 years of 365 days.
The Haab (Civil calendar) had a 365 day solar calendar and it was decided into 18 months of 20 days each, also there was a short month of 5 called the Wayeb; That keeps a tracking of the seasons, agriculture cycle and a daily life.

The Mayan Calendar was made for succession of 20 day glyphs in combination with the number 1 to 13, and produces 260 unique days. 🙂
