Room 1 - Children spent 10 minutes in this room. The toys included were stickers, potato printing and there was also a 5 foot bobo doll, a mallet and a Tinker Toys. The aim of the room was to model the activity to the child depending if it was aggressive or non-aggressive. If it was non-aggresive, the model played with the Tinker Toys quietly and ignored the bobo doll. The aggressive model started playing with the Tinker Toys and then started aggressively playing with the bobo doll.

Room 2 - Children were taken to this room for two minutes and after a short time they were told they cannot play with these toys. The aim of this room was to increase arousal which increases the likeliness of the children then acting aggressive in the final room.

Room 3 - Children spend 20 minutes in this room. They were given a mallet, darts a gun, farm animals, colouring books and a ball. A male observer assessed the Childs behaviours through a one way mirror. He did not know which IV the child was allocated and he recorded categories every 5 seconds.
